Annie Murphy Springer specializes in local landscapes that express exuberance and whimsy
and is known for her affection of purples, maroons and mauves.
Teaching watercolor is one of her greatest joys - she especially enjoys exposing both new and experienced artists to the WONDERS OF WATERCOLOR.
She teaches one-on-one and small groups; men and women, and even folks who are left-handed!
One of her specialties is leading workshops called WATERCOLOR FOR GUYS. These workshops began at the request of guys who have had a less than satisfying experience as the only guy in an art class or who have always wanted to try experimenting with art in a comfortable, supportive peer group setting.

Free Paint-Outs* - Last Saturdays
WATERCOLOR FOR GUYS AND THE WONDERS OF WATERCOLOR
THESE OUTDOOR PAINTING SESSIONS ARE FOR ANNIE'S CLASS PARTICIPANTS.
In 2011, the Paint-Outs will be MAY 28, JUNE 25,(???), JULY 30,
AUGUST 27 AND SEPT.24 from 10am to 2pm.AT VARIOUS INTERESTING PLACES.
You are invited to come and paint Plein Aire at various beautiful places.
These sessions are free & informal.
I will provide some one-on-one tutoring and some materials.
* Donations are welcome but not required.
